A final day for Younkers in Eastern Iowa
Wednesday was the final day for Younkers stores in Lindale Mall in Cedar Rapids and in Coral Ridge Mall in Coralville.
Bon-Ton Stores, owner of the Younkers brand, announced in April it would begin 'an orderly wind-down” of its remaining Younkers stores, including 17 in Iowa.
The Westdale mall store closed earlier this year.
Younkers was founded in Keokuk in 1856.
