Les Jones, a beloved husband, father and grandfather, died Aug. 9, 2016, after losing his battle with cancer.
He was born and raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Edwin L. and Grace (Rummens) Jones. Les attended Jefferson High School, graduating in 1959, and Iowa State University, where he graduated with an aerospace engineering degree.
He is survived by his wife, Linda (Onken) of Monticello; daughter, Lisa (Ed) Brouse; son, Lon Jones; and three granddaughters, Brianna, Victoria and Olivia Brouse. He is additionally survived by two sisters, Lela (Roger) Keepers and Charlene (Jim) Liesveld; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Les will be fondly remembered and sadly missed.
