Jones, Tommi Antoinette

Tommi Antoinette Jones, 54, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012. Memorial Services: 2 p.m. Saturday at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel, where friends may greet the family after 1 p.m.

Survivors include her husband, David Jones; a sister, Sharon (Jim) Howe of St. Louis, Mo.; a brother, Mike Kingsbury of Cedar Rapids; a sister, Bobbye Shaheen of Hiawatha; her mother-in-law, Gertie Jones of Cedar Rapids; two sisters-in-law, Kimber Jones of Cedar Rapids and Bernita Jones of Des Moines; and brothers-in-law, Daryl Jones of Cedar Rapids and Waymon Artis of Indianapolis.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Mary Hanzlik.

Tommi was born March 5, 1958, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Robert and Jennie Kingsbury. She married David Jones on Feb. 14, 1996, in Cedar Rapids. Tommi loved nature. She had an incredible love for animals, always feeding the birds, squirrels, deer and raccoons. She also had a great love for her pet cats, Chunks and Third.

She was a wonderful wife, aunt, and sister and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
