Dawn Dummermuth Slyfield, 85, of McGregor, formerly of Elgin, died Sunday, Feb. 1, 2015, at Silverado Memory Care Community, The Woodlands, Texas.
Survivors include her children, Skip and Shannon Slyfield; a brother, Bill Dummermuth; and a
son-in-law, Michael Silvestre.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick John Slyfield I.
Dawn worked as a speech therapist for many years. She enjoyed playing tennis throughout most of her life, even competing in the Senior Olympics many times in her late years.
A memorial service will be scheduled for May or June in McGregor.
Donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
