KARIE GROVE
Des Moines
Karie Lynn Grove, 49, passed from this life on Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014.
Karie Lynn was born Nov. 2, 1964, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Karen L. (Dennis) and William Grove. She graduated in 1983 from Regis High School in Cedar Rapids and the University of Iowa in 1989. Karie Lynn was employed with Pigott Inc. in Des Moines for 10 years, and for the past 10 years was an employee of Milliken Design Inc.
She will be missed by her daughter, Madeline Eggleston of Des Moines; mother, Karen L. of Cedar Rapids; brother, Dennis (Denise) Grove; niece, Ella Grove, and nephews, Nolan and Brady Grove of Marion; aunt, Connie Jo (Jay) Peiffer of South English; uncle, Jerry (Lynne) Dennis of Keswick; aunts, Joyce (Gene) Fink of California and Karla Grove of Alaska; Madeline's father, Scott Eggleston of Des Moines; her many friends; and a spoiled, special dog, Leo.
Karie Lynn was preceded in death by her father, William Grove; and grandparents, Catherine and Harry Dennis; and Mae and Clarence Grove.
As beautiful as Karie Lynn was on the outside, she was more beautiful on the inside. One of her best attributes was that she always saw the good in everyone and everything. She would always lend a helping hand to others and had such a gentle and kind spirit.
Visitation will be from 3:30 to 6 p.m., with a prayer vigil immediately following on Sunday, Aug. 10, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 2926 Beaver Ave., Des Moines, IA 50310. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 11, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church followed by a luncheon. Burial will be at the North English Cemetery in North English at about 3:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, Karie Lynn would have preferred memorial gifts be given to an education fund that has been established for her daughter, Madeline Eggleston. Contributions may be made payable to Madeline Eggleston and sent to Wells Fargo Bank, 4505 Douglas Ave., Des Moines, IA 50310.
