Vera "Pauline" Lynch, 89, of Solon, passed away peacefully Thursday, Nov. 3, 2016, at Solon Assisted Living Village.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 7, 2016, at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service in Iowa City. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. A visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6, at the funeral home. A luncheon at the Kirkwood Room will follow the committal.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
Pauline was born March 31, 1927, in Hamburg, Iowa, the daughter of Robert and Thelma (Harris) Ozenbaugh. On Aug. 19, 1947, she married Cleo L. Lynch at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Iowa City.
Pauline worked for over 30 years in the dietary payroll office at the University of Iowa. When not working, she enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading and spending time with her grandchildren, Jordie and Nicholas.
Pauline is survived by her two loving children, Rod (Kim) Lynch of Osage Beach, Mo., and Deb (Dave) Johnson of Solon, and two grandchildren, Jordie and Nicholas; and her sister-in-law, Bernadine (Marvin) Goody.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cleo; her parents, Robert and Thelma; one grandson, Colton; and her sister, Mary Badger.
