Wise, Wayne S.
Wayne S. Wise, 50, of Hiawatha, died Thursday, Sept. 17, 2009, after a short battle with cancer. A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories in Cedar Rapids. Wayne's request was to be cremated. Inurnment will take place at a later date in northeast Iowa. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home in Cedar Rapids is assisting with arrangements.
Survivors include his parents, Warren and Shirley; a brother, Wes; and a niece, Katie, all of Hiawatha.
Wayne Scott Wise was born March 13, 1959, in Waukon, Iowa, to Warren and Shirley (Ruroden) Wise. He worked as a driver for Janda Electric in Cedar Rapids. He graduated from Kennedy High School in 1978.
Wayne had a deep love and respect for the outdoors. He was a skilled archer and enjoyed bow hunting and archery events. He loved to travel on hunting and fishing trips both out west and in Canada.
He was a loving and caring son, brother, and uncle and will be missed by all he knew him.
