Mainor, Jeanne P.
Jeanne P. Mainor, 95, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013, at Cottage Grove Place, Cedar Rapids. Memorial services with military honors will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18, at the Church on Northland with the Rev. Jerry Springston officiating. Inurnment will be in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements by Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Survivors include her son, Gary Mainor (Gabriel Belerique) of Eden Prairie, Minn.; grandchildren, Sara, Michael, Paige, Faith and Kathryn; great-granddaughter, Sophia; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence; one sister; and one brother.
Jeanne P. Russett was born Oct. 2, 1918 in Seattle, Wash., the daughter of Jasper and Beulah (Reynolds) Russett. She married Clarence Mainor on May 1, 1948, in Cedar Rapids. She worked at Armstrong's Department Store a sales associate for over 20 years. She served with the U.S. Navy during World War II. She was a lifelong resident of Cedar Rapids; active member of the First Baptist Church-Church of the Brethren-Church on Northland; an avid bowler, golfer and card player. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Memorials may be given in her name to the Church on Northland, 5200 Northland Ave. NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402; or the charity of the donor's choice.
