Jay E. Ondler, 55, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Friday, Nov. 21, 2014, at the Oldorf Hospice House, Hiawatha, Iowa, from complications of lung cancer. Celebration of Life will take place at noon Monday, Nov. 24, at the Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service Legacy Center, Cedar Rapids, where the family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Graveside service: 2:30 p.m., Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Jay Edward Ondler was born March 25, 1959, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Floyd and Mary (Chambers) Ondler.
He is survived by his father, Floyd of Cedar Rapids; brother, Rex (Sue) Ondler of Ankeny, Iowa; nephew, Jeff (Laura) Ondler of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; niece, Amy Ondler of Spencer, Iowa; aunt, Myrtle Smith of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; uncle, Harold Chambers of Strawberry Point, Iowa; and aunt, Beulah Becker of Newhall, Iowa.
Jay was preceded in death by his mother, Mary; and several aunts and uncles.
