Brady, Beulah Marjorie
Beulah Marjorie Brady, 79, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Greeley, died at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha on Friday, Sept. 23, 2011. Funeral services: 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 26, at United Methodist Church in Greeley, with Pastor Ruth Tibbott officiating. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Edgewood and after 10 a.m. Monday at the church. Burial: Grant View Cemetery, Greeley.
She was born Jan. 4, 1932, in rural Clayton County near Millville, Iowa, the daughter of Howard and Elga (Welch) Tindell. Beulah was raised and educated in the Oneida, Colesburg, and Greeley areas, and was a 1950 Greeley High School graduate.
On Dec. 30, 1955, Beulah was united in marriage to Clair Bernard Brady in Cedar Rapids. Six children were born to this union. Beulah worked for a short time at Rockwell Collins until the children were born.
Beulah loved spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed puzzles, crosswords, gardening, yard work, canning, cards, reading and going to garage sales.
Survivors include her six children, Tom Brady of Loveland, Colo., Pat Brady of Albany, Ore., Randy (Cheryl) Brady of Schertz, Texas, Cathy (Dave) Dunek of Swisher, Dan (Debbie) Brady of Monmouth, Ore., and Mike (longtime friend, Larry Baschnagel) Brady of Cedar Rapids; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mildred Ingles of Greeley.
Beulah was preceded in death by her husband, Clair Brady on March 20, 2007; her parents; one sister, Laura Sauerbry; and one brother in infancy.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society or the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha.
