Resewehr, Charles William
Charles William Resewehr, 46, of Cedar Rapids, passed away suddenly on Aug. 12, 2009. Services: 10 a.m. Monday at King of Kings Lutheran Church. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday. The casket will be closed on Monday at the church.
Chuck was born Oct. 3, 1962, and lived most of his life in Cedar Rapids. Known for his spirited disposition and sense of humor, Chuck will be greatly missed by his beloved daughter, Haley, family and friends, and his four-legged buddy, Stuart.
Chuck loved the simple pleasures in life; sharing a good meal with family and friends, watching sports, Indy car racing, attending his daughter's and niece's extracurricular activities, traveling overseas and enjoyed sharing stories of his adventures.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Haley Ann Resewehr; his mother, Norma Fillmore of Cedar Rapids; two sisters, Darla (Dale) Hoffman of Tampa, Fla., and Amy (Scott) Pace of Olathe, Kan.; brother, Andrew of Cedar Rapids; and sister-in-laws, Karla Resewehr of Cedar Rapids and Kathy Resewehr. He also survived by loving nieces, Lily and Emma Hoffman, Ava Pace, Ashley and Lauren Resewehr; and nephew, Noah Pace.
He was preceded in death by his beloved best friend and brother, John Thomas; and grandparents, Thomas and Edith Lekin, and Elwood and Dorothy Resewehr.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Haley's name.
