Boffeli, Maxine Elizabeth
Maxine Elizabeth Boffeli, 76, died Saturday, May 14, 2011, in her home. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 19, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Monticello. Father Keith Birch will officiate at the service. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Goettsch Funeral Home in Monticello. Private family burial will take place at a later date.

Surviving is her husband, Eugene; children, Francis Boffeli, Tony Boffeli, Cheryl (Mike) Hogan, all of Monticello, Roger (Jodi) Boffeli of Runnells, Kevin Boffeli of Iowa City, Andy Boffeli of Independence, Dawn (David) Wachsteter of Kennesaw, Ga., and Shawn (Keri) Boffeli of Monticello; 10 grandchildren, Jenni Valle, Joe (Courtney) Boffeli, Nicolette Hogan, Keeley Hogan, Ashley Boffeli, Brandon Boffeli, Molly Boffeli, Mya Boffeli, Maci Boffeli and Dru Boffeli; four great-grandchildren; and siblings, Eldon (Glendoris) Lynch of Platteville, Wis., Ruth (David) Kruser of Hazel Green, Wis., Richard Lynch of North Prairie, Wis., and Rita Fischer of Cascade.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Robert Lynch; and an infant son, Keith.
Maxine Elizabeth Lynch was born on Oct. 5, 1934, in Holy Cross, Iowa, the daughter of Roy and Hortense (Hemmer) Lynch. She was raised in the Fillmore area and graduated from St. Martins High School in Cascade in 1952. On June 9, 1953, Maxine Lynch and Eugene Boffeli of Farley, Iowa, were united in marriage in Fillmore.
She was a member of the Sacred Heart Church and enjoyed playing cards, gambling, crocheting and watching her grandchildren. She also liked Braves baseball. Maxine will be greatly missed by those closest to her.
