Irene V. Maxa, 87, died at Baylor Medical Center in Garland, Texas, on Sunday, May 13, 2012, following a sudden illness. Memorial services in this area will be held on Tuesday, July 3, at 10 a.m. at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City, with burial to follow at Blaine Cemetery near Swisher. Memorial services were held Wednesday, May 16, in Garland, Texas.
