Hating the rich only hurts those in need

I am not one of what some people call the filthy rich. I have lived comfortably, but as I observe the world around me, it seems obvious that we humans bring much misery upon ourselves because we hate the rich.
The best examples during my lifetime were and are the Soviet Union and here in our great country during the Great Depression when we probably extended the end of the depression for perhaps six years and our current very slow recovery.
If we punish job creators, the job creators will survive, but millions of our hardworking unemployed cannot find jobs. Even Jack Kennedy understood the problem when he made his “a rising tide lifts all boats” speech and lowered taxes.
