Monticello
Jackson J. Simmons, 23, of Monticello, died Sunday, April 20, 2014. Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 26, at the Kramer Funeral Home in Monticello, where a memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Inurnment will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Monticello at a later date.
Jackson was born Dec. 17, 1990, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Rhonda (Michaelis) Simmons and Jack Simmons. He attended the Monticello and North Linn Senior High Schools. He was currently employed at Dyersville Die Cast.
He is survived by his mother, Rhonda Simmons (special friend Brian Ondler) of Coggon; his father, Jack Simmons of Avondale, Ariz.; his brother, Tim (special friend Kiley Bohlken) Bader of Monticello; his grandparents, Miles Tredway of Cedar Rapids and Glen "Bud" and Judy Simmons of Amber; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grand-mother, Rose Tredway; and two aunts,
Rebecca and Jennifer
Simmons.
Jackson was his brother's #1 fan of 5B Bader Racing. He also had a passion for racing his own Starsky and Hutch car. He was also a fan of NASCAR, the Indianapolis Colts and trap shooting. He loved hanging out with his many friends. He always had a huge smile, contagious laugh and a quick wit which often made him the life of the party.
