Slaymaker, Beatrice
Beatrice Slaymaker, 96, of Urbandale, formerly of Guernsey, died Thursday, Oct. 22, 2009, at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. A funeral service will be 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25, at the Guernsey United Methodist Church. Interment will be in the Ohio Cemetery, south of Victor. Visitation will be from noon until 8 p.m. Saturday at Smith Funeral Home in Victor, with the family present to greet friends from 5 until 8 p.m.
Beatrice is survived by her children, Nadean (Lyle) Wandling of Marengo, Johnny (Irene) Slaymaker of Guernsey, Gerald (Kris) Slaymaker of Ottumwa, Judy (Bob) Howe of Urbandale, Jerry (Reta) Slaymaker of Guernsey, Linda Njamfa of Des Moines and Steven (Kim) Slaymaker of Belle Plaine; 26 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
