LIONS WIN 4X200
Linn-Mar's boys entered as the favorite in the 800-meter relay and showed why, taking home the white flags in 1:28.40.
ANOTHER RELAYS RECORD
Cedar Rapids Jefferson's 800-meter relay set a Drake Relays record for the second straight year.
This year's team won it in 1:40.87.
Jalen Rima on the Hawks' success thus far -- a medley record, Joah Wallace's 110-hurdles win and Rima's third-place finish in the 100.
IOWA FOOTBALL RECRUITS DOMINATE SHOT PUT
Three of the top four high school boys' shot put finishers are Iowa football commits.
Mount Vernon's Tristan Wirfs won it with a throw of 60 feet, 11 1/2 inches. Levi Duwa of Mid-Prairie was third and Madrid's Coy Kirkpatrick took fourth.
