Peterson, Nicholas

Nicholas Peterson, 26, formerly of Marion, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009, after suffering an accidental injury. A visitation will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Murdoch Funeral Home in Marion. Celebration of Life services: 11 a.m. Monday at New Life Community Church, West 29th Ave., Marion.

Nicholas is survived by his parents, Jeff and Annette Peterson of Marion; sister, Eryn (John) Bauer of Marion; brother, Chris (Stephanie) Peterson of Cedar Rapids; and sister, Abbey (Isaac) Altdorfer of Omaha, Neb.

Nicholas was born in Iowa City on Sept. 19, 1983, and graduated from Marion High School in 2002. He received an associate degree from Kirkwood Community College and pursued a business degree at Kaplan University. Nicholas worked at Iowa Health Systems in Cedar Rapids before taking a position as desktop administer for South Bend Clinic of Indiana. Nicholas had attended Antioch and Eastview Christian churches. He brought laughter and joy to so many lives and will be dearly missed. He will continue to give the gift of life as an organ donor.
