Reader is skeptic of Libertarian promises

I have said this many times and it is worth repeating.
If you follow the libertarian notion of radically limiting government ('The loudest critics of government want to run your city council,” April 7) there are inevitable results: We will have a land governed by war lords and/or gangsters, toxic waste dumps everywhere, our air will be unbreathable and our water undrinkable. There will be no public education.
