James "Jim" L. Korsmo passed away peacefully April 27, 2014, at his home in Cedar Rapids.
James was born May 9, 1944, in Cedar Rapids, son of Maurice and Ruth Korsmo. He graduated from Washington High School and married Julia Haage. James worked for Linn County and Mercy Medical Center, where he retired.
James was a loving, kind man. He always had something to say to make you laugh. He loved his Lord and Savior Jesus.
Survivors include his wife; children, Cerisa (Justin) Thomas, Eleisha (Mike) Baych and Larinda (James) Jungjohann; grandchildren, Kegan, Jaydan, Kyilinn, Kaylinne, Emmalynn and Roman; brothers, Robert (Judy) Phillips, the Rev. Maurice E. Korsmo Jr. and Frederick (Sharon) Korsmo; and sister, Frances (Tom) Kriz.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Darrell L. Phillips, the Rev. Richard Korsmo, Ronald N. Korsmo and Wallace K. Korsmo.
