Deng, John Bior
John Bior Deng, 26, of Iowa City, died Friday, July 24, 2009, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, at Lensing's Oak Hill, 210 Holiday Rd., Coralville, where friends may call an hour before the service. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Iowa City.
John was born Jan. 1, 1983, in Sudan, the son of John B. and Alek Angok Deng. He came to the United States in 2000 and to Iowa City in 2007 where he was a machine operator.
John is survived by his siblings, aunts, uncles and numerous cousins.
