Mask-wearing decisions do affect you

So, you won't wear a face mask because, 1. You are a 'denier” and the so called pandemic is just a ruse by Democrats to discredit President Donald Trump and/or 2. You're young, you don't have any underlying medical issues, and even if you get COVID-19, you won't die and/or 3. Having to wear a face mask is an imposition and tramples on your freedom.
Even if all this were all true, you are missing a very important point. Because people have not been observing social distancing and not wearing face masks in Florida, Texas, and Arizona, there has been a spike in COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations causing their Republican governors to, once again, close some businesses. If this happens in Iowa, you have no one to blame but yourself. Even if your job is not at risk, you may lose the freedom to go a theater, go out to eat or get a haircut. In addition, it puts more of a strain on local and state finances. Yes, it does affect you! Wear a mask when in a place of business or in other situations that put you in proximity to other people!
