Peter Jok, Naz Mitrou-Long in shootout tonight

Two of the most-prolific shooters in our state's college basketball history will compete tonight in the State Farm Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships.
The event, at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, will be telecast by ESPN at 9 p.m., Central time.
Peter Jok of Iowa and Naz Mitrou-Long of Iowa State will try to outshoot six other players from around the country, including the player who made the game-winning 3-pointer in the 2016 NCAA tournament, Kris Jenkins of Villanova.
Mitrou-Long's 260 career 3-pointers ranks second behind Jake Sullivan (270) on Iowa State's all-time list.
Jok's 216 threes place him fourth on Iowa's all-time list behind Jeff Horner (262), Matt Gatens (239) and Chris Kingsbury (226 in three seasons).
