Pins, Rosemary
Rosemary Pins, 82, of 27826 New Vienna Rd., New Vienna, died Thursday, Sept. 8, 2011, at 7:50 p.m. at University ofIowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. Friends and relatives of Rosemary may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 12, at Reiff Funeral Home in Farley, where a wake service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Services for Rosemary Pins will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Clement's Catholic Church in Bankston, with the Rev. Dennis Cain officiating. Burial will be held in St. Clement's Cemetery, Bankston.
She is survived by six children, Mary Sue (Gene) Schultz of Earlville, Donald (Kim) Pins of Dubuque, Nancy (Ron) Drees of Earlville, Janet (Joe) Kluesner of Bankston, Tom (Carrie) Pins and Mark (Barb) Pins, both of Dubuque; 21 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, Charlie, Rylan and Nolan; a brother, John (Jean) Heiberger of Epworth; three sisters, Elaine Klein of Dubuque, Eleanor (Celestine) Sigwarth of Balltown and Loyola Morgan of National City, Calif.; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Germain “Jerry” (Eileen) Pins of Dubuque, Ambrose (Duanne) Pins and Clement (Betty) Pins, both of Bankston, Mary Jane Kluesner of Dyersville, and Ann (Merle) Johnson of Sherrill; and many nieces, nephews and godchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Sylvester C. “Vessie” Pins on Aug. 22, 2004; one daughter, Marie in infancy; a granddaughter, Becky Drees; three brothers-in-law, Francis Kluesner, Howard Morgan and Emmett Klein; and one sister-in-law, Eileen Heiberger.
A Rosemary Pins Memorial Fund has been established.
