Esther E. Greenhaw, 94, of Palo, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 28, 2016, at Living Center East, Cedar Rapids. Visitation: 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, July 31, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Burial: Olivia Cemetery, Olivia, Texas.
She is survived by her children, Edgar L. Greenhaw Jr. and his special friend, Nora Venega, of Port Lavaca, Texas, E. Anne Burt of Port Lavaca, Texas, Jack M. (Cindy) Greenhaw of Toddville, Sun Greenhaw of Cedar Rapids and Anita C. Kasal of West Jordan, Utah; 14 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Edgar; parents; son, Richard R. Greenhaw; and her siblings.
Esther was born March 31, 1922, in Keene, Texas, daughter of Nathan and Lucie (Wharam) Beck. Esther retired from Rockwell Collins.
She enjoyed gardening, sewing, ceramics, crocheting and living life to the fullest.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Alzheimer's Association, 317 Seventh Ave. SE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52401.
