Letter: Sullivan’s column prompts response

Adam Sullivan ('Rethinking ‘People's Republic,'” Jan. 5) is concerned about the 'bad rap” Iowa City has in state politics and takes pride in the 'People's Republic.”
I appreciate the state capitol standing up for us in Iowa City who have not yet drank the KoolAid and have no representation in city and county government. Until a Republican is elected I will vote against all tax increase referendums.
