City should prioritize street repairs

To the editor:
I will admit that I voted yes for the additional taxes to fix our streets, but now I'm wondering about the end results. Yes, our city streets are being fixed but at what cost? Seems to me when I drive around and look to see exactly what streets are being fixed, the priorities aren't what streets need to be fixed first but rather who lives on those streets.
I give to you as an example Glass Road. I don't have a problem with it getting resurfaced, but I don't understand why they resurfaced a perfectly good road when there are others in such disrepair. Not only did they resurface a perfectly good road surface, but they installed all new curbs as well. Why? Do the citizens who live on that portion of the roadway have anything to do with it? Also, I don't see the city installing new curbs with the other street projects.
I invite the decision-makers to drive down B Avenue near Roosevelt Middle School - it is a total disgrace. That street has been patched so many times you can hardly tell where the original pavement lies.
