Letter: Veteran thankful to have WWII hat returned

I want to thank a lot of people, but I don't know who most of them are.
On March 25, I lost my World War II cap with airborne wings on it. I believe it fell out of the back of the car in the parking building when I went to the PCI building for a doctor's visit. I discovered it was missing when I got to my house in Belle Plaine. My daughter went back to the PCI building to look for it and reported it to several people.
Someone had enough respect for the cap and what it means to someone to see that it had a chance to get back to the owner. So many things I don't know about the recovery. A local young lady brought it back to Belle Plaine. It's just a cap, but to this World War II vet it is a special piece of property.
Many thanks to whoever was involved in the recovery. May you be rewarded someday. God bless.
