Bye, Kerry 'Wolf' Michael
Kerry “Wolf” Michael Bye, 43, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012, at home from smoke inhalation. Funeral Services: 1 p.m. Friday, March 2, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and one hour before the service Friday at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Kerry was born on Sept. 6, 1968, in Cape Girardeau, Mo., the son of Garry and Sonia (Marshall) Bye. He graduated in 1986 from Jefferson High School in Cedar Rapids. Kerry worked at Amana Refrigeration, bartended in Cedar Rapids and recently was a pressman for Fisher Printing for 10 years.
Kerry was a member of Trinity Methodist Church and The Moose Lodge #304, both in Cedar Rapids. He played league pool and enjoyed trivia and history. He was an accomplished artist doing free hand sketches.
Kerry is survived by his parents, Garry and Sonia Bye; two brothers, Kevin and Kyle Bye; nephews, Alex and Zach Bye; and nieces, Jordon Bye and Michelle Bye Snyder, all of Cedar Rapids.
He is also survived by his aunts, uncles, cousins and his many friends.
Kerry was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Megan Bye; and grandparents, William and Hazel Bye and Albert and Eunice Marshall.
A memorial fund has been established in honor of Kerry.
