Ronald Ray Strasser, 70, of Marengo, passed away at Mercy Medical Center, in Cedar Rapids, on Sunday, Dec. 16, 2018. Per his wishes, there will be no services.
Memorials by be directed to Iowa County EMS and Ambulance, or to Mercy Hospital ICU, Cedar Rapids, in his name.
Ron is survived by his wife, Rose; three sons, Ronald Jr. of Montezuma, Adam of Belle Plaine and Anthony (Leslie) of Marengo; eight grandchildren; and brother, James (Judy) Strasser of Morning Sun.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Kenneth.
Ron Strasser was born July 4, 1948, in North English, the son of Morris and Helen (Bohrn) Strasser. He graduated from Iowa Valley High School in Marengo in 1968. He married Rose VanBlaricom on May 11, 1973, at First United Methodist Church, Marengo. Ron was a truck driver for JMS Trucking Firm for 11 years. He was a lifetime member of the North American Hunting Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and bowling.
