Scenery polluted with political ads

Drive on Highway 13 from Cedar Rapids north to Elkader and about every 4-5 miles you'll encounter a huge political sign for Terry Branstad/Kim Reynolds, Rod Blum or Joni Ernst.
How much money to these people have in their campaign war chests? If I were an independent voter I would not only vote against these folks because of their lousy politics, but also because of all the visual pollution they are inflicting on Iowa motorists hoping to enjoy the natural scenery.
