Shirley J. Northway, 84,
of Marion, passed away Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017, at Bickford of Marion surrounded by her loving family. A visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, in the Chapel of Memories Stateroom at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 10, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories.
Shirley was born July 18, 1932, the daughter of Clarence and Lola (McCall) Fisher. Shirley enjoyed traveling in their numerous motor homes and kept detailed diaries of their trips. Shirley was an avid bowler with a 700 series and was in the bowling Hall of Fame. She enjoyed gardening and her favorite flower was the iris. Above all, Shirley loved spending time with her family and her pets.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gilbert; sister, Phyllis; brother, Clarence; and a grandson, Nick.
Left to cherish Shirley's memories are her three sons, Randall (Carole) of Marion, Kevin (Sherrie) and Brent (Diane), all of Springville; five grandchildren, Jason (Carrie), Spencer (Tiffany), Colin (Brandi), Clark (Leanne) and Laura; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Frank (Mary); and two sisters, Bev (Jim) and Patsy.
Memorials in Shirley's honor may be directed to the Cedar Valley Humane Society or the Community Health Free Clinic.
