Vicki Lee Abernathy (nee Schellhase) of Sauk City, Wis., formerly of Vinton, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2018. Visitation will be on Thursday, June 28, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, 212 E. Sixth St., Vinton. The funeral will take place on Friday, June 29, at 10:30 a.m. at Wesley United Methodist Church in Vinton, with a luncheon to follow and interment at Urbana Cemetery.
Born on Nov. 17, 1947, Vicki is survived by her son, Mike (Ellen) Abernathy, and grandchildren, Finn and Maren, all of Prairie du Sac, Wis.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Steve, in 2006; son, Kirk, in 1977; and brother, Ricky Schellhase, in 1967.
In lieu of flowers, the family has established a memorial fund in honor of Vicki.
