Final - Iowa 82, Michigan 71
Iowa hit seven second-half 3-pointers to keep pace with guard-oriented Michigan's eight, and is 5-0 in the Big Ten for the first time in 19 years.
The win is the Hawkeyes' 11th straight in regular-season conference play and ties them for first with Indiana in the league.
The Hawkeyes (14-3, 5-0) answered Michigan runs in both halves for the victory.
Michigan (13-5, 3-2) came out of the second half on fire, taking a 48-47 lead prior to the first media timeout, but Iowa responded with an 11-1 surge and never looked back.
"The only thing that really worked was changing defenses," Iowa coach Fran McCaffery told BTN after the game.
"We can do a lot of things. We can go with different lineups," McCaffery said, specifically citing the play of his bench. "Our young guys are playing like experienced guys."
Peter Jok drilled four 3s in the second half and finished with 16 points. Jarrod Uthoff led the way with 23 points while Adam Woodbury and Dom Uhl each had 10.

The Hawkeyes were 7-for-11 from 3-point range in the second half after a 3-for-10 first half.
That helped enormously as Michigan played more like itself in the second half by knocking down 8 of 16 3s in the second half after going 2-for-9 in the first.
Iowa, which had just four turnovers in the game, started the game up 11-0 before Michigan rallied to go up 21-20. But the Hawkeyes responded and went up 38-33 at the half.
3:22 2nd - Iowa 71, Michigan 65
After struggling in the first half, both teams have heated up from beyond the arc in the second frame.
Iowa is 6-for-10 from deep while the Wolverines are 7-for-13.
Jarrod Uthoff was on the bench for most of Iowa's second half-run, but returned and drilled a 3 to put the Hawkeyes up nine. He leads all scorers with 17 points.
Aubrey Dawkins brought it back to six with a 3 of his own, his third of the game. Dawkins has 12 points, one shy of Derrick Walton, Jr. for the team lead.
Peter Jok (13), who has hit three second-half 3s, Adam Woodbury (10) and Dom Uhl (10) have joined Uthoff in double-figure scoring for Iowa.
The Hawkeyes lead by six with 3:22 left, but with Michigan's 3-point shooting proficiency this one is far from over.
9:22 2nd - Iowa 60, Michigan 52
Like after Michigan's first-half run, the Hawkeyes have responded in the second half.
Peter Jok hit two threes, including one from a few feet behind the line late in the shot clock, and Anthony Clemmons drilled another in transition as part of an 11-1 run for an eight-point lead.
Michigan is 1 for its last 6 and hasn't scored in 3:01, taking a timeout to try to stay in the game.
15:24 2nd - Michigan 48, Iowa 47
Michigan scored on six straight possessions, including three 3-pointers and a chance for a Zak Irvin 3-point play after the break.
The Wolverines scored 15 points in the first 4 1/2 minutes of the half to re-take the lead for the first time since just past midway through the first half.
Duncan Robinson, Derrick Walton, Jr., and Muhammad-Ali Abdur-Rahkman have each hit 3s during this run.

Half - Iowa 38, Michigan 33
Iowa sprinted out to an 11-0 lead, only to watch Michigan respond with a 13-0 run midway through the first half to take a 21-20 lead.
The Hawkeyes stayed the course, though, and lead by five at the break.
Iowa is shooting 47.1 percent from the field, including 3-for-11 from 3-point range. Michigan leads the Big Ten in 3-pointers but is only 2-for-9 at the break, shooting 50 percent overall thanks to a number of easy looks during its big run.
Jarrod Uthoff has had it tough scoring inside at times, but leads all scorers with 12 on 5-of-13 shooting.
Zak Irvin has eight to lead Michigan, matched by Iowa's Adam Woodbury, whose breakaway dunk you know you want to watch over and over...

Woodbury followed with another basket -- he's up to eight points and three rebounds -- and Michigan calls timeout with the Hawkeyes up nine.
Jarrod Uthoff has remained assertive despite missing a few bunnies and leads the Hawkeyes with 12 points.
6:32 1st - Iowa 25, Michigan 21
The tone of this game completely changed in the last five minutes.
After looking lost on its first few offensive possessions, Michigan is now consistently getting open looks at the basket.
The Wolverines also turned up the defensive intensity and went on a 13-0 run to take their first lead, 21-20.
Ahmad Wagner answered for Iowa with a move inside to put the Hawkeyes back in front, spelling a scoring drought that lasted four-plus minutes. Jarrod Uthoff followed with a layup and the foul that counted via goaltending.
Uthoff leads Iowa with seven points while Zak Irvin has five for the Wolverines. Michigan, which came in leading the Big Ten in 3-pointers, is just 1-of-8 from outside yet is within three.
15:39 1st - Iowa 11, Michigan 2
If there was any question as to how the Hawkeyes would handle national attention, they had the perfect answer in the first two minutes, scoring on their first five possessions.
Iowa looked on a mission from the get-go, quickly running a set for an open Jarrod Uthoff jumper.
Anthony Clemmons blocked a shot on the other end, Mike Gesell drove for a layup, Peter Jok hit a jumper and Uthoff drained a step-back 3.
Michigan called timeout, looking to recover after nearly falling behind by double digits very early, but the Wolverines looked confused on offense and Adam Woodbury made it an 11-0 start with a shot inside.
Michigan finally got on the board on a Duncan Robinson tip-in with 16:17 remaining.
