Letter: Waiting for answers about Medicare coverage

My wife and I are retired and on Medicare.
Currently, the Medicare Part D (prescription drug coverage) Donut Hole is slowly being reduced. By 2020 it will be eliminated. The problem is the reduction/elimination is part of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), which Congress and the president-elect have vowed to repeal in its entirety.
Several weeks ago I contacted Senators Chuck Grassley and Joni Ernst and Rep. Rod Blum asking them what plans are for the Donut Hole. Does it revert to the original Medicare Part D law where seniors pay 100 percent of the cost of drugs while in the Donut Hole?
Their response to date: I got a form letter from Grassley thanking me for my inquiry and saying he would get back to me later. Ernst and Blum did not respond at all.
Has anyone heard anything about the future of the Donut Hole after the demise of the ACA?
