Ann Freerks has the skills and experience needed to fill the open seat on the Iowa City Council
Experience. That's why I'm supporting Ann Freerks for the open seat on the Iowa City Council. Ann's volunteer service on the Planning and Zoning Commission for the past 17 years has provided her with the experience necessary to be a highly informed and capable council member. Planning and zoning issues are a critical - and often a challenging - part of a council member's job.
Ann has proved she's up to the challenge. She's a thoughtful decision-maker and a respectful listener who is interested in working with people who bring different perspectives to our community conversations. I appreciate her commitment and love for Iowa City, and her deep understanding of the significance that today's decisions have on the future health, sustainability and attractiveness of our town.
There is simply no one else running who is prepared to step into the position with the depth of knowledge, the leadership skills and understanding of the work of City Council that Ann has. On Sept. 4, please join me in voting for the most experienced and capable candidate on the ballot - Ann Freerks.
