Delbert Joseph Krotz, 79, of Washington, Iowa, died Friday, Oct. 30, 2015, at his residence following a sudden illness. Celebration of Life services will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, at the United Methodist Church in Washington, with Pastor Ben Blanchard officiating. Calling hours will begin noon Tuesday at Jones & Eden Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 5 until 7 Tuesday evening. Interment will take place at Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington.
Memorials will be established for Washington Community YMCA and Washington County Pheasants Forever.

He is survived by one son, Phillip Krotz and wife Maurita of Walker; two grandsons, Dillon and Sawyer Krotz of Walker;
and one brother-in-law, Ted Griffith of Washington.
Delbert was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, LaVaughn, in 2010; an infant son, Patrick; and two sisters, Delores Griffith and Darlene Leppert.
