Carl W. Hendrickson Jr., 87, of Cedar Rapids, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 11, 2015, at Cottage Grove Place in Cedar Rapids. Memorial service: To be held at a later date. Per Carl's wishes, his obituary should be brief and to the point.
Survivors include his wife, Sally; two sons, Erik (Keri) Hendrickson and Torger Hendrickson; and two grandchildren, Jan and Ryan.
He was preceded in death by his infant son.
His family members would like to add that Carl practiced law for many years, retiring in 1992 from the law firm of Nazette, Hendrickson, Marner and Good.
He was born on Nov. 29, 1927, the son of Carl and Catherine (Wittleder) Hendrickson in Cedar Rapids.
Carl always had a good joke or story to tell and he never messed up on the punch line. For many years, he enjoyed his gin martinis at table 19, at the Vernon Inn, The Greek Place.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the staff of Cottage Grove Health Center for their excellent loving care.
