Devan Ann Morgan DeSandis, 69, of Brigantine, N.J., formerly of Mount Vernon, passed peacefully at ARMC Mainland in Pomona on Sept. 22, 2014.
Devan was retired from Atlantic County's Department of Family and Community Development, where she worked for 39 years.
She was a true socialite – she was an active member of Brigantine Elks Lodge 2428, played bridge weekly and enjoyed dinner with friends at Monday Night Supper Club.
Devan was predeceased by her husband, Dr. John DeSandis (Sept. 20, 2007).
Devan is survived by her daughter, Danielle Devan DeSandis Chialastri; son-in-law, Richard Chialastri III; brother, Denny Morgan and his wife, Mary Morgan; her nephew, Devon Morgan; and her niece, Denna Morgan.
Friends and family are welcome to join us on Sept. 25 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Keates-Plum Funeral Home, 3112 W. Brigantine Ave., Brigantine, NJ 08203, to pay respects to Devan and family. A service will be held immediately after at 11 a.m.
