Tiernan, Michael Breck
Michael Breck Tiernan, 59, died Saturday, March 3, 2012, at St. Luke's Hospital.
Michael was born June 9, 1952, in Cedar Rapids, the son of James and Elizabeth (Broeckert) Tiernan. Mike attended school in Cedar Rapids. He was a printer by trade, working for Fisher Printer and others.
In 1971, he married Bonnie Snitker and they divorced in 1992.
He is survived by his sons, Samuel Tiernan, Cedar Rapids, Broeckert (Karin) Tiernan, Joliet, ll., and Beau (Jessica) Tiernan, Marion; sisters, Janie Macklin, Florida, Susie Van Auken, Cedar Rapids, Julie Keen, Omaha, Neb., and Lori Fiebelkorn, Sherrill, Iowa; three grandchildren; and special friend, Wayne Breeden.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James III; and sister, Patty McCalley.
His wonderful disposition and sunny attitude, especially during the last few years when he was ill, endeared him to many people.
A private committal service at Mount Calvary Cemetery will take place at a later date.
