Aswegan, Cheryl Annette
Cheryl Annette Aswegan, 44, of Marion, died Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha. Services: 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 14, at Walker Bible Church, Walker, by the Rev. Jeremy Hudson. The family will greet friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Walker. Burial: Walker Cemetery, Walker.
Survivors include her husband, Richard of Marion; three children, Jonathan, Mitchell and Rebecca, all at home; mother, Gloria Caraway of Bath, Maine; and four brothers, Mike (Sharon) Mackenzie of Norway, Maine, Earl (Dawn) Mackenzie of Pittsburg, Pa., Carl (Marlys) Caraway of Hiawatha and Matthew Caraway of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Cheryl was born March 24, 1965, in Bath, Maine, the daughter of Richard and Gloria (Brown) Caraway. She was a graduate of Metro High School in Cedar Rapids. Cheryl married Richard Aswegan on May 9, 1987. She worked as a cashier at Menards for 10 years. Cheryl was a member of the Women's Auxiliary Ray Post 367 of Walker.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Cheryl's memory.
