Iowa coach Ferentz on witness list for Satterfield trial

Iowa football coach Kirk Ferentz is among the witnesses on a list submitted by Abe Satterfield's defense attorney ahead of the former Hawkeyes player's sexual abuse trial next week.

Also on the list submitted Wednesday are present and former University of Iowa football players, university police and other university officials.

Satterfield and Cedric Everson III, both 21, are accused of attacking a woman in an unoccupied Hillcrest Residence Hall dorm room on Oct. 14, 2007. The former defensive backs are accused of second-degree sexual abuse. Satterfield also is accused of third-degree sexual abuse.

Both have pleaded not guilty. Satterfield and Everson are to be tried separately. Everson is scheduled to go on trial in July.
