Rosdail, Donald T.
Donald T. Rosdail, 69, of Marion, died Monday, Feb. 6, 2012. Funeral services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Marion. Family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion. Burial: Springville Cemetery, Springville.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth; son, Donnie; grandson, Tanner; siblings, Betty Stallman, Mary (David) Neuhaus, Janet (Ron) Schanbacher and Dennis Rosdail; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Don was born Jan. 25, 1943, in Fairfax, Iowa, the son of Calvin and Opal (Tow) Rosdail. He served in the United States Army. On Jan. 23, 1965, Don was united in marriage to Ruth Paul at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa.
He was a detective for the Cedar Rapids Police Department, serving on the force for over 40 years. Don farmed since 1977.
He enjoyed getting together with friends. Don enjoyed spending time with his grandson, Tanner.
He was a loving husband, father, grandpa, and brother.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed in his honor.
