Ricky Eugene Gatewood, 66, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday morning, Aug. 2, 2016, following a sudden illness.
A celebration of life will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 5, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Surviving are his brother, Darrell (Pam) Gatewood, and sister, Pamela Sillick, both
of Cedar Rapids; nephew, Justin (Jody) Gatewood, and their children, Paige and Parker; niece, Ashley Gatewood, and her son, Carson; many cousins; and best buds, Terry and Steph Lange and Karen and Calvin.
Rick was born Sept. 17, 1949, in Webster City, Iowa, the son of Donald and Betty Lou Richards Gatewood.
Rick was a loving son, brother and friend, and will be missed dearly by those closest to him.
