Liabo, Rand Elliott
Rand Elliott Liabo, 55, formerly of Cedar Rapids, passed away June 16, 2011, at his home in Naples, Fla. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 25, at Fuller Funeral Home, 1625 Pine Ridge Rd., Naples, FL 34109, (239) 592-1611. Burial will be at the Center Point Cemetery at a date to be selected.
Rand was born in Cedar Rapids and attended Washington High School, where he played basketball. Rand's favorite activities were spending time with his family coaching youth basketball, and watching his sons play. He had a passion for talking to and getting to know people. Rand was very proud of his four children. They loved their dad and he will be deeply missed.
Rand is survived by his children, Tom (Katie) Liabo of Naperville, Ill., and their sons, Alex and Jack; Erin Liabo of New York, N.Y.; Chad Liabo and Michael Liabo of Naples, Fla.; his mother, Doris Liabo of Naples, Fla.; and a brother, Mark (Corenne) Liabo of Cedar Rapids, and their children, Jeremy Liabo, Erica Liabo-Vanderpol and Miriam Liabo.
