ELAINE SYVERSON Decorah Elaine Syverson, 92, of Decorah, died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2018, at Aase Haugen Senior Services in Decorah. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 5, at Springfield Lutheran Church, 1969 Middle Calmar Rd., Decorah, with the Rev. Anita Nuetzsman officiating. Burial will be in Springfield Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, and after 10 a.m. Monday all at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorials sent to the Winneshiek Medical Center Hospice, 901 Montgomery, Decorah, IA 52101; or Springfield Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 398, Calmar, IA 52132. Elaine is survived by a son, Darryl (Shelly) Syverson, Strawberry Point; three daughters, Carryl Magnuson, Richfield, Minn., and Jackie Syverson and Judy Syverson, both of Decorah; six grandchildren, Tara (JT) Wyckoff, Amy (Rob) Lengeling, Tracy (Tony) Nicholls, Brad Syverson, Travis Syverson and Chad (Erin) McDermott; eight great-grandchildren, Mia, Ian and Frankie McDermott, Liam and Gage Holmberg, Ada and Meyer Lengeling and Zoe and Frankie Nicholls; sisters-in-law, Bonnie Syverson and Frances "Franny" Syverson of Decorah; and many nieces and nephews.
