Bruce Braley is the clear choice

I have no illusions that Bruce Braley is a statesman-level candidate. But compared to Joni Ernst, I feel he is the clear choice. That Ernst is endorsed by Sarah Palin and the NRA (A-rating) is enough, but for further reasons review her website and sources such as 'PolitiFact.”
In her TV campaign, she wraps herself in the flag and military service and touts her concern for veterans. However, it is notable that according to an April report by the Economic Policy Institute roughly 1 in 10, approximately 1 million veterans, are working at minimum wage, which Ernst opposes raising while favoring repeal of the inheritance tax which would benefit the beneficiaries of multimillion dollar estates.
Substance is absent in her campaign advertisements. Example: The nebulous platitude 'Iowa Values.” I have visited most states and many countries and fail to recognize just what 'values” are exclusive to Iowa. Ernst claims she will make the spending bureaucrats in Washington squeal. Undoubtedly, there is need for intelligent spending cuts, but failure to spend on investments for the future will eventually cause the American people to squeal about living in a has-been county. Does Ernst even acknowledges the need for spending on infrastructure and education? Not on her website - perhaps it contradicts a 'unless it is for military, spending is bad” ideology.
