She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Donald K. Schmidt Jr.; and her niece, Dina Schmidt.
Alzheimer's is a devastating disease that robs it victims of their memories, identity and dignity. In lieu of flowers, Betty's family requests that donations be made in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association to support research into better treatments, and ultimately, a cure.
