Schmidt, Winifred Jean
Winifred Jean Schmidt, 91, of McGregor, formerly of Strawberry Point, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012, at Great River Care Center in McGregor.
Surviving are her daughter, Bonnie Ryder of Beeville, Texas; her son and daughter-in-law, Bruno and Karen Schmidt of Springfield, Mo.; her brother and sister in-law, Willis and Darla Brooks of Bella Vista, Ark.; four grandsons and spouses, Doug and Linda Ohl of Oceanside, Calif., Robert Ohl of Portland, Ore., Brian and Kara Schmidt of Sachse, Texas and Kevin and Tracy Schmidt of Battlefield, Mo.; four great-grandchildren, Morgan Ohl and Patrick, Matthew and Xzavier Schmidt; and many nieces and nephews.
Winifred was preceded in death by both her parents; and one brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Dawn Brooks of McGregor.
Funeral Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 13, at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Strawberry Point, with the Rev. William Gentry II. officiating. Visitation: 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 12, and one hour before the service Monday at the funeral home. Interment: Cass Township Cemetery, Strawberry Point.
