Some things to consider about DACA

Here are a few thoughts concerning Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals and the 'Dreamers,” as they are sometimes called.
As an example, imagine you were brought to this country when you were 2 years old by your mother who entered illegally. Can a 2-year-old commit a crime? Should you, as a 2-year-old, be punished for something that was out of your control?
Consider you now have reached age 16. The U.S. is the only country you have known. English probably is the only language you have spoken. This country's culture is the only one you have experienced. Your grades in school are good, and you look forward to attending college to make something of yourself. You have no criminal record. Is it fair, or even moral, to demand you be forced to leave the U.S. for a country you know nothing about and possibly can't speak the language?
I would hope anyone with the slightest sense of decency and empathy would answer no.
